Certificate in Ministry Coaching

Client - 3Coaching4Clergy’s Certificate in Ministry Coaching is for already-credentialed coaches (ACC, PCC or MCC) who want to expand their coaching expertise for ministry-specific issues and be equipped to coach pastors, ministry staff,  and other ministry leaders.

The program consists of 16-18 hours of coach-specific training that is pre-approved by the International Coach Federation.  Coaches may use the ACSTH hours for ICF credential renewal (vs. CEUs) and ACCs and PCCs may use them for training hour requirements for the next level credential ACSTH or portfolio application.

The program is offered as an 8-hour on-site workshop with two 4-hour webinars (16 hours total). The on-site workshop is designed for “Certificate” students only.  The 4-hour webinars are the regular scheduled C4C webinars, offered to both PCT students (many are clergy or ministry leaders) and “Certificate” students (credentialed coaches).  This will provide a rich experience for both types of students.

The program is also offered completely online for your convenience.  This includes a two-hour introductory webinar for “Certificate” students only and four 4-hour webinars which include both PCT students and “Certificate” students.

“I highly recommend the Certificate in Ministry Coaching class. As an ICF credentialed coach, I found the insights about ministry coaching issues and opportunities very helpful. There was lots of opportunity for discussion and questions.” ~ Dana Phillips, PCC

“As a credentialed coach for the last five years I have had the opportunity to participate in several continuing education programs.    I have been most impressed with the Coaching4Clergy – Certificate in Ministry Coaching program because of the manner that it was presented by their highly professional staff.   Working with a pastor is part of the learning experience and was truly eye opening as I worked with my assigned pastor.  One thing for sure is I will be able to use this information a great deal in the future.  Thank you Coaching4Clergy!”  ~ Karin Newell, ACC

“Certificate in Ministry Coaching was a great workshop for credentialed coaches to become familiar with coaching people in ministry settings.  The coaching scenarios were beneficial in being prepared to coach the lead pastor.  To be able to attend a one -day workshop, take classes online, provide free coaching to a person in the ministry, and then listen to masterful coaching sessions was valuable to me and expanded my coaching capabilities.  Thank you for creating this learning opportunity.”  ~ Carolyn Sims, ACC

“Coaching within ministry felt like a special calling and meaningful opportunity.  The course offerings through C4C’s Certificate in Ministry Coaching program gave me additional insight and increased confidence to do this important work.”  ~ MiMi Heines, ACC

“This program provides the opportunity to study the very specialized field of coaching clergy by way of several learning modes. There is the opportunity to learn through studying eBooks, participation in class learning settings, hands-on coaching of an actual clergy client in the field, and listening to interviews with people who have been clients.  Because of this learning distribution, as well as the vast amount of experience that Coaching4Clergy has amassed, there is a depth of knowledge and wisdom conveyed throughout the learning process.  One cannot help but begin coaching those in the clergy field with confidence and the knowledge that there are resources to draw from for future growth.”  ~ Martha Darwin, ACC

“Throughout my years of training to be a coach I often heard the advice that you need to find your niche.  It was only when I started coaching a minister that I realized this was an area that best suited my talents, personality and life goals. I was excited to be offered the opportunity to become certified through Coaching 4Clergy. This certification shows not only my desire to work in this area but also that I have additional specific training to work in ministry coaching.

I particularly like the many faceted training of Coaching4Clergy. It meets all different types of learning styles. The required books present coaching skills as well as insight into particular situations unique to the ministry.  The on-site workshop gave me the chance to observe an excellent coach conduct a group training and to interact with other students. There were a number of interesting webinars to choose from which allowed me to pick those I thought best suited my needs.  The webinars were led by skilled coaches. The opportunity to listen to recordings of ministry interviews was also a plus. To further enhance my learning experience I was provided hands-on training by being assigned a ministerial client to coach.

I would recommend this training to anyone interested in working with ministers and their staffs.”  ~  Gail Hartin, ACC
