We’ve been talking this month about enthusiasm. In an earlier post I shared our exciting story about the seminary students who wanted to start the next level before they even finished the basic coach training program. I also shared some ideas for how you can build that kind of enthusiasm in your own church programs.
Today I want to introduce you to a couple of examples of churches who are already doing this really well.
What a refreshing approach! Engagement happens almost immediately as you read the tagline on the homepage: “A church for people who aren’t into church.”
Then right below that…
“Tired of religion but still interested in spirituality?”
You can also read about The Meeting House’s engaging offerings for children (kidmax) and youth (theUNDERGROUND). Who wouldn’t be drawn to this? In fact, I wish I was a kid again so I could experience it firsthand!
This site provides some great examples of how to provide a high level of engagement using social media. A quick review of the posts and comments reveal excitement and engagement on a variety of relevant topics and issues. And that engagement extends to contributors from outside of this local church.
What ideas do these websites spark for you and your church?
