Tell me more…

If you are looking for a way to improve your coaching and leadership effectiveness, consider including the phrase “Tell me more” in your coaching.

What I like about this phrase is its simplicity.  It’s only three words.  Yet, these three words are powerful.  These three words have the ability to open the door wide during the coaching conversation.

The other benefit to the phrase “Tell me more” is that most people have never been asked so say more or go deeper.  In most cases this phrase catches the other person by surprise and invites them to share beliefs and assumptions that have never been addressed.

Even if you’re not a coach, these three words will have a dramatic impact.
