How do you get people to hire you as a coach? Part 1 of 3

How do you get coaching clients?

This is definitely one of the top three questions that I am asked.  And even if it’s not asked, it is usually on people’s minds.

For the next three weeks I will share with you the “secret” of how I get coaching clients.

Secret Number One:  How can I help you?

My top priority is not to sell you something, or to get you to hire me.  Sure, I would really like it if you did.  But that’s not the most important thing to me.

My top priority is to help you.  That’s why I am always asking, “How can I help you?”  I’m like a broken record.  I want to become your “go-to-person” for all things ministry related.  And if I can’t help you I will do my best to find someone who can.

I know what you’re thinking….how does this get you coaching clients?

It’s simple.  People know that I care.  They know that I am genuinely interested in them, NOT what I’m offering.   Funny thing-, 9-times-out-of-10 I can help them.

Think about it.  Whether it’s a coach, a therapist, a doctor or a pastor…..do you want these professionals to see you as a slot filled in their calendar or another pew that’s filled.  Or, do you want them to really, really care about you.
