As a Life & Leadership coach, Susan works with individuals who want to take their success and happiness to the next level, helping them to “create space” in their personal and professional lives to live out God’s plan for them.
Susan uses a strengths-based approach to help clients discover (or rediscover) their God-given talents and gifts and supports them to overcome the obstacles that have stymied them. Often the obstacles are self-imposed doubts or limits, or lack of knowledge or skill. By creating a mental space (e.g., self-confidence) or a structural space (e.g., goals with accountability), clients take control of their life direction.
After a 28-year corporate career, Susan worked with a coach who helped her get clarity about her own “next level” and discovered that coaching was a passion, and perhaps a calling. Susan brings both business and life experiences to coaching; her reputation for being trustworthy and someone who sees the greatness in others is widely acknowledged by her personal and professional networks.
Feeling joy coaching in a Christ-centered environment, Susan joined the Coaching4Clergy team in 2012 serving as Faculty and Trainer. Her primary focus today is Mentor Coaching, helping fellow coaches earn or renew their ACC or PCC credential.
Susan has a B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas and has served on the board of the International Coach Federation (ICF) North Texas Coaches chapter. She earned her ACC in 2009 and PCC in 2012.
Susan sums up her life and her coaching with this simple mantra: Gratitude, Grace and Growth; Peace, Purpose and Passion.
