My parents were pastors and missionaries. I have a twin brother, Warren, and an older sister, Colleen. I attended high school in Kingston, Jamaica. I received degrees from Anderson University (BA), Anderson School of Theology (MDiv) and Fuller Theological Seminary (DMin).
For 35 years I served churches in pastoral ministry, including 10 years as a lead pastor. I planted a church in the mid-1990s. I served on a limited basis as a church consultant for 12 years, before changing to a coaching role. My first position out of college was as a program director at a YMCA. My other work experiences have included Bible college instructor, selling insurance, fast food sales, and building contractor.
I am married to Sharon, who is a professor and Director of Clinical Counseling at the University of Phoenix. In our blended marriage, we have four living adult children and six grandchildren.
I participated in track, cross-country and wrestling in college. I have completed 10 marathons and have climbed all 54 of Colorado’s “fourteeners”. Sharon and I enjoy camping, travel and cruises.
I have been coaching since 2000. I hold the PCC credential from the ICF and will soon be applying for the MCC credential.
