What is your AT-RISK rating?

March 11, 2014 By //  by J. Val Hastings

Pastors are AT-RISK!

In fact, pastors are not only “at risk”, pastors are HIGH RISK!

We are high risk because many of today’s ministry leaders are lonely and isolated….and we’re not sure who we can trust. That’s a dangerous combination.

That’s why I coach so many pastors on their Personal Health and Well-Being.  Many of the pastor’s I work with recognize that their personal health and well-being is in jeopardy, and they want to do something about it.

Early in our coaching conversations we talk about actually taking regular time off, as well as establishing strong healthy boundaries.  Healthy daily habits and exercise are also discussed.

Since many pastors don’t know who they can trust, it often takes about 3 to 4 months of coaching until they really believe that I’m someone they can trust.

What I appreciate about the pastors that I coach is that they understand that there is a direct correlation between their leadership effectivenss and their personal health and well-being.

How is your personal health and well-being?

On a scale of 1 to 10, what’s your AT-RISK rating?

Consider working with a coach.  Or, become a coach.

All the best to you,
