Puzzled by your lack of Progress?

July 12, 2016 By //  by J. Val Hastings

The focus this month is shifting our perspective, also called reframing. The premise is that a change in perspective –even the slightest-opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

This concept isn’t really new. The well-known poet W. B. Yeats, from the 20th Century, highlights this in the following quote:  “Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.”

This single sentence by Yeats sets in motion two entirely different courses of action, which in turn yields different outcomes.

Here’s the application part: If you don’t like your outcomes, or are puzzled by your lack of action, consider reframing your perspective. Step back and intentionally consider a different vantage point.  Or, ask a trusted advisor or coach to help. Often an outside person can help us look at things differently.

You get the idea.

All the best,
